Everyone wishes to see their breed depicted in product which includes dogs.

From this web site you can either purchase a scarf with an image representing your breed, or you can order a scarf (or framed painting) to depict your actual dog.

As the silk technique necessitates a stylised image - do not expect the colour and shapes to be exactly like your dog. There is no white colour in silk dyes - so you cannot mix colours with white - the only way to get a pale colour is to water or wash down an existing strong colour. Consequently you cannot match colours to the real image, like you can with oils or acrylics. You also need to use a hard line of gutta (liquid rubber) to separate colours so that they do no run together; this also ads to the sylisation.  And I do take some some artistic license too! But if you want an original painting of your dog to be depicted on a scarf (only sizes available are 74cm x 74cm or 30cm x 150cm) or framed under glass as a work of art, then you must contact Barbara.

The sample below shows photos of the two Cavalier King Charles Spaniels; the Blenheim bitch Cameo (left), and the Tri Colour dog, Cooper (centre) and the scarf combining them both (right). The scarf is not identical to the photos - but there is a definite likeness.

Never underestimate the power of using an animal in your marketing message - you see the big guys doing it all the time on TV commercials. Now the Micro businesses (those employing less than 5); the sole operators and the home based businesses can also benefit by utilising these images and messages.You may chose your own message if you wish and will be able to purchase the cards in one dozen lots.
